How to Output the "Global maximum" Field?

#1 Unread post by MGYBY »

Dear all,
I am relatively new to ROMS. These days, I am conducting a storm-surge simulation using ROMS and I want to output a global maximum field of the water elevation. The term "global maximum" means that for a fixed gird point, the maximum value throughout the whole simulation period is stored and will serve as the output when the simulation is finished. And this process is repeated for all the grid points in the computational domain to get the final global maximum field. This result is important for the diaster prevention. Other ocean numerical models has implemented such functionality, such as the "maxele.63" output file in ADCIRC: https://adcirc.org/home/documentation/u ... -minpr-63/
I appreciate any suggestions for outputting such information. Thanks in advance for the help.
