Question about doing a restart run in a special case

#1 Unread post by Jin »

Dear all,

I would like to ask a question about restart run.

In my case, I have done a 15 year simulations(without bio), and now, I want to do a restart run from year 10 (using the Y10 as the restart file) with bio fields. Is it possible to do this, will this do some strange impact to other files.

Thanks very much in advance.

Yes, it is possible to append the initial conditions of the biological model constituents to the restart NetCDF file. Another possibility is to activate ANA_BIOLOGY but using the restart NetCDF file as initial conditions (NRREC = 0) and not as a restart (NRREC ≠ 0) because restating check the CPP options that you used before. You may need to activate NO_LBC_ATT to avoid checking the global attribute lateral boundary condition switches in the restart file.

Thank you very much arango, now I am trying to use the Y10 file as initial file to start my new simulation. Thank you so much and I may come back to ask more questions :D
