Re: roms river LwSrc problem
This is from May 2020. I am testing river with both LuvSrc and LwSrc. I found this issue persists. LuvSrc -> max speed blowup, but tracers can be correctly imposed as point sources. LwSrc -> more stable but tracers (T/S) cannot be correctly imposed. No matter what values I set for T and S, the value ...

Unrealistic mixing layer deepening with artificial w
Recently I am running a 1-D model based on bio_toy, 300 m depth. The forcing is bulk wind stress fluxes, heat and water fluxes. We wanted to include the effect of vertical velocities from, e.g., Ekman pumping and other processes. So I modified the code (omega.F), replacing omega with prescribed ...

ROMS kinetic energy and other problems
As a new user of ROMS, I ran a model with the entire Pacific domain and single climatological forcing input file. A part of the output file is shown below: Resolution, Grid 01: 0198x0198x032, Parallel Nodes: 16, Tiling: 004x004 Physical Parameters, Grid: 01 ============================= 86400 ntimes ...

Re: ROMS Global Solution
Actually I have rewritten a new .h file and reset the model. It's expected to have a one-year result tomorrow. If the problem still exists, I will do as you suggest.
Mind if I e-mail of MSN you when I open a new topic?

Re: ROMS Global Solution
It's very kind of you.
Is it necessary to run the model for 12 years on the purpose of getting a realistic result? I ran that for about 1 year but the result——the flow field is strange and false. Kuroshio is not noticeable.
Did I make myself clear?

Re: ROMS Global Solution
I'm a new user of ROMS and ocean-modeling. Recently I have been running an entire Pacific model with single climatological forcing file and similar grid resolution with donguiyo(Author). I'm interest in the author's result. Would you mind if offering more detail about your simulation such as cpp ...
